Ghana Premier League club’s COVID-19 test results, Ashanti Gold, have been revealed and no positive case has been recorded for players and technical staff alike.
On Wednesday, 12th August 2020, the first team players and the Miners’ technical staff were tested for coronavirus.
All the tests returned negative, a club source told Oyerepa FM based in Kumasi.
“Thank God we all tested negative when the results came,” the source said.
Ashanti Gold has conducted the players and technical team testing as they prepare for the resumption of Ghana ‘s football activities.
The four-time champions of the Ghana Premier League will compete for glories in next season in the domestic league and the CAF Confederation Cup.
After canceling the previous one due to COVID-19 disruptions, the Ghana Football Association has set a provisional two-week date in October for the start of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
Ghana Football activities remain suspended until further notice.
